VividMotion.io ("VividMotion", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website https://vividmotion.io and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our Instagram content creation and auto-publishing features.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

  • Account registration details: name, email address via Google OAuth sign-in
  • Instagram account details when you connect your account(s) for publishing
  • Content you create using our video and image editors (text, images, videos, captions)
  • Communications you send to us (support emails, feedback)

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: features used, content created, render jobs submitted, publishing activity
  • Device and browser information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution
  • Log data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, referring URLs

c) Information from Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture
  • Instagram / Meta API: When you connect your Instagram account, we receive your Instagram user ID, username, profile information, and the permissions you grant (see Section 3 below)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the VividMotion.io service
  • Render videos and images you create using our editors
  • Publish content to your connected Instagram account(s) on your behalf
  • Schedule and manage your content publishing queue
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Send service-related notifications (e.g., render completion, publishing status)
  • Monitor and analyze usage to improve our service
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Instagram & Meta Platform Data

VividMotion.io integrates with the Instagram Graph API provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. When you connect your Instagram account, the following applies:

a) Data We Access

  • Your Instagram business or creator account profile information (username, profile picture, account type)
  • Permissions to publish content (photos, videos, reels, stories, carousels) on your behalf
  • Basic insights related to your published content (where applicable)

b) How We Use Instagram Data

  • To publish content you create in VividMotion.io to your Instagram account
  • To schedule posts for future publishing
  • To display your connected account information within the VividMotion dashboard

c) What We Do NOT Do with Instagram Data

  • We do not sell, rent, or lease your Instagram data to third parties
  • We do not use your Instagram data for advertising or ad targeting
  • We do not store your Instagram password — authentication is handled entirely through Meta's OAuth 2.0 flow
  • We do not share your Instagram data with data brokers or analytics services
  • We do not use your Instagram data for any purpose other than providing the VividMotion.io service to you

d) Meta Platform Terms

Our use of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including the requirement to delete user data upon request or when a user disconnects their account.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We may share your information with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate our service:

  • Cloud infrastructure: MongoDB (database), Cloudflare R2 (media storage), Vercel (hosting)
  • Authentication: Google OAuth for sign-in, Meta OAuth for Instagram connection
  • Video rendering: Our rendering service processes your content to produce videos
  • AI providers: We use AI services to assist with content generation — only the prompts and generated content are shared, not your personal data

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Data Storage, Retention & Security

  • Account data is stored in MongoDB with encrypted connections (TLS/SSL)
  • Rendered videos and images are stored in Cloudflare R2 cloud storage
  • Authentication tokens are stored securely and encrypted at rest
  • We use HTTPS for all data transmission
  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service
  • When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, created content, and connected account tokens within 48 hours
  • We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are strictly necessary for the service to function. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or pixels.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account (see our Data Deletion page for instructions)
  • Disconnect: Revoke VividMotion's access to your Instagram account at any time through your Instagram settings or through the VividMotion dashboard
  • Data portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent for data processing at any time

8. Children's Privacy

VividMotion.io is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction. By using our service, you consent to such transfers. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. The legal basis for processing your data includes: your consent, performance of a contract (providing the service), and our legitimate interests (improving the service and preventing abuse). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
